The Torque (16mm)
Description
MAXIMAL RESISTANCE & POWER BUILDING
The Torque is the heavy-weight beast of the FLØ lineup. Designed for those who want to build muscle, not just burn calories.
Its dense, 16mm naval-grade gauge creates the highest drag profile in our system. This rope fights back. To keep it moving, you must engage a vice-like grip, a braced core, and explosive shoulder drive. It delivers the intensity of a lifting session with the fluidity of movement, bridging the gap between brute strength and athletic flow.
Why it’s the ultimate strength tool:
-
Precision Calibrated Length: No knots. No guessing. We custom-cut the rope to your specific height to ensure the arc hits the ground at the perfect contact point. This allows you to maintain momentum without breaking your posture.
-
Dutch Maritime Engineering: Sourced from the Netherlands' naval industry, this double-braided polyester is built to tow ships. It is dense, heavy, and provides instant feedback—if your form slips, the rope stops.
-
Artisan Hemp Finish: The handmade hemp whipping provides a natural, secure, and durable knot-handle at the ends of the rope.
-
Gym-Floor Ready: Every rope comes with our Friction Prevention Kit. Apply this sacrificial tape to the impact zone to protect your investment from concrete and abrasive gym floors.

ROPE CARE & MAINTENANCE
Treat your gear right, and it will serve you for a long time.
FLØ ropes are engineered from maritime-grade materials, but they are training tools that take stress. Follow these four rules to maximize the lifespan of your rope.
1. RESPECT THE SURFACE (OR USE PROTECTION)
- The Rule: Abrasion is the enemy. Training on smooth surfaces (gym mats, wood, smooth turf) will keep your rope looking new.
- The Fix: If you train on concrete, asphalt, or driveway pavers, you must apply the included Friction Prevention Kit. This tape acts as a shield for the rope's core. When the tape wears through, you can replace it.
2. NO PERMANENT KNOTS
- The Rule: Never leave a knot in your rope overnight.
- The Why: Knots create pressure points that can deform the braid and ruin the "memory" of the rope, leading to kinks and uneven rotation during your next workout.
3. HAND WASH ONLY
- The Rule: NEVER put your rope in a washing machine or dryer. The heat and tumbling will destroy the internal structure.
- The Method: Submerge in a bucket of lukewarm water with mild soap. Rinse thoroughly. Hang it over a shower rail or clothesline to air dry completely. Keep it away from direct heat sources (radiators) and intense direct sunlight while drying.
4. COIL, DON'T CRUSH
- The Rule: Store your rope loosely coiled in the provided cotton bag.
- The Why: Tightly winding or crushing the rope at the bottom of a gym bag can warp the fibers. Store it in a cool, dry place.
